Meet
Kaitlyn DeValk

I started doing basic web development in high school, simple HTML and CSS. During my junior and senior years, I took a computer programming course where I learned Java and C++. I then accepted my appointment to the US Coast Guard Academy. There, I was lucky enough to join the first ever Cyber Team, and during that time, I became familiar with basic pen-testing techniques, Python programming, and Capture-the-Flags.

I found that I loved the world of coding and cybersecurity, which is why I decided to pursue a career in security. My day to day job used to consist of vulnerability and penetration test assessments but is now full of classes as I've decided to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland.

This site was created and developed by me, using Flask, Jinja, and Bootstrap!
